First of all... as always: huge shoutout to @lynnandtonic and https://a.singlediv.com for coming up with this single div art concept and using technology in... unusual, creative, and thoughtful ways. Honestly... this is not a toy I had growing up. I _did_ however have a Texas Instruments Speak and Learn which was a large blue disc with a scanner that read books out loud via barcodes using the same synthesized speech technology. However, the Speak and Spell (and Read and Math) are way more known and nostalgically celebrated. When I decided to start a series on old tech toys, it certainly seemed this was the logical start.
